Encounters. Non-European Arts and Crafts in the Collection of the Kunstgewerbemuseum

Since June 2022, a new intervention has been woven into the permanent collection tour of the Kunstgewerbemuseum. Tucked between the Baroque and Rococo galleries, a compact new display brings together around 50 objects that had long been sleeping in the museum's storage: finely chased pieces and other examples of non-European arts and crafts that invite visitors to pause and reconsider the global connections embedded in the history of decorative art.
