Gözde İlkin: Those Who Remember Their Births
10 Oct 2026 — 17 Jan 2027 at Tate St Ives
· St Ives
Gözde İlkin: Those Who Remember Their Births is a solo exhibition presenting new and recent work by Turkish artist Gözde İlkin. Known for her intricate use of fabric, thread, and soft sculpture, İlkin weaves together personal and collective memory, probing questions of origin, identity, and the body. The exhibition title — evoking the rare and uncanny act of recalling one's own birth — sets the tone for a body of work that moves between the intimate and the mythic, the physical and the remembered.
