Why hast Thou forsaken me?

Why hast Thou forsaken me?

17 Apr 2021 — 13 Jun 2021 at Belarusian National Arts Museum · Minsk
"Why hast Thou forsaken me?" is an exhibition that takes its title from one of the most haunting phrases in the biblical tradition — the cry of desolation attributed to Christ on the cross, echoing Psalm 22. The works on display engage with themes of abandonment, spiritual crisis, and the search for meaning in moments of profound suffering.

Through a range of media and perspectives, the exhibition invites visitors to reflect on the universal human experience of feeling forsaken — by God, by society, or by one another — and on the resilience and questioning that such moments can inspire.
