The Sense of Beauty: Six Centuries of Painting from Museo de Arte de Ponce brings together a remarkable selection of paintings from one of the Caribbean's most distinguished art collections. While the Museo de Arte de Ponce's building in Ponce, Puerto Rico, undergoes extensive renovation following damage sustained in the 2020 earthquake, this traveling exhibition offers audiences across multiple venues the opportunity to encounter works spanning from the 15th through the 20th century.
The exhibition draws on the museum's celebrated holdings, which include European Old Masters, 19th-century academic painting, and Pre-Raphaelite works, among other highlights. The tour runs through 2025 and 2026, making these treasures accessible to a wider public during the museum's temporary closure.
