The Roof Garden Commission: Alex Da Corte, As Long as the Sun Lasts

12 Apr 2021 — 31 Oct 2021 at Metropolitan Museum of Art · New York City
For the 2021 Roof Garden Commission at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Philadelphia-born artist Alex Da Corte presents "As Long as the Sun Lasts," a bold and immersive installation set against the sweeping backdrop of Central Park and the Manhattan skyline.

Known for his psychedelic use of color and his engagement with the imagery of everyday consumer culture, Da Corte creates a work that blurs the boundaries between sculpture, performance, and painting. The commission invites visitors to experience art in dialogue with the open sky, the changing light, and the living city below.
