The Power of My Hands — Afrique(s): Africa(s) is a major group exhibition presented at the Musée d'Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris from 19 May to 22 August 2021. Bringing together female artists from across the African continent and its diasporas, the show explores the breadth and vitality of contemporary creation by women whose voices have too often been overlooked. Through a wide range of media — painting, sculpture, photography, video, and textile — the exhibition asserts the power, agency, and diversity of artistic practices rooted in or shaped by African experience.
