Symbol and Kingdom: Three Great New Spanish Collections brings together three outstanding collections of New Spanish (novohispano) art under one roof at Museo Espacio. The exhibition invites visitors to explore the visual and symbolic vocabulary that shaped colonial Mexico — from religious iconography and royal emblems to the material culture of the viceregal world.
Through paintings, decorative objects, and devotional works, the show reveals how art functioned as a language of identity, faith, and authority in New Spain.
