Saved Treasures of Gaza: 5000 Years of History

2 Apr 2025 — 7 Dec 2025 at Arab World Institute · Paris
Saved Treasures of Gaza: 5000 Years of History was an exhibition held at the Institut du Monde Arabe (IMA) in Paris from 3 April to 7 December 2025. Organised to shed light on Gaza's rich and layered past, the show brought together 130 artefacts spanning five millennia of human civilisation in the region.

The exhibition was conceived as an urgent act of cultural preservation, drawing attention to the irreplaceable heritage sites and objects endangered by the ongoing Gaza war, as well as documenting the damage already inflicted on archaeological and historical sites. A scholarly catalogue accompanied the exhibition, providing a lasting record of the works on display and the broader context of Gaza's endangered heritage.
