Raphaël Denis: The normal Law of Error
17 Feb 2024 — 26 May 2024
"The normal Law of Error" is a research and installation exhibition by French artist Raphaël Denis. Drawing on the history of statistics, probability, and the social sciences, Denis constructs an immersive environment that interrogates how error has been defined, measured, and normalized across disciplines.
Through a combination of archival material, text-based works, and sculptural installations, the exhibition invites visitors to reconsider the boundaries between the normal and the deviant, the expected and the anomalous. Denis's practice characteristically blends rigorous conceptual research with a precise, restrained visual language.
