Nam June Paik

8 May 2021 — 3 Oct 2021 at San Francisco Museum of Modern Art · San Francisco
This 2021 exhibition at SFMOMA presents a comprehensive survey of Nam June Paik, the visionary Korean-American artist who revolutionized contemporary art through his groundbreaking use of video, television, and electronic media. Paik's work spans from his early experiments with modified televisions and kinetic sculptures to his ambitious multimedia installations that challenged conventional notions of art and technology. The exhibition explores his influential contributions to Fluxus, his collaborations with musicians and performers, and his prescient investigations into the relationship between art, communication, and human experience in an increasingly technological world.
