Many Shades of Grès. Fashion Becomes Art

Spectacular fashion by one of the most important pioneers of 20th-century Haute Couture, alongside outfits inspired by her work and created from student designs — the Kunstgewerbemuseum (KGM) presents, for the first time in the German-speaking world, the fascinating oeuvre of the French fashion designer Madame Grès.

The exhibition brings together the couturière's extraordinary creations with contemporary responses from the next generation of designers, revealing how her sculptural, timeless aesthetic continues to resonate in fashion today.
