La Menesunda According to Marta Minujín

18 Nov 2026 — 8 Mar 2027 at Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía · Madrid
La Menesunda According to Marta Minujín revisits one of the most celebrated works in Latin American avant-garde history. Originally created in 1965 in Buenos Aires, La Menesunda was a labyrinthine, multi-sensory environment conceived by Marta Minujín and Rubén Santantonín that plunged visitors into a sequence of disorienting, playful, and provocative rooms.

This presentation, guided by Minujín herself, reconstructs the spirit and spectacle of the original happening, inviting a new generation of audiences to experience the radical energy that made the work a landmark of participatory art. Expect neon lights, unexpected encounters, and an atmosphere that blurs the boundaries between art, life, and performance.
