Cocoa, Art and Colonialism. The Philipp Keller Shipping Collection

This exhibition at the Hans Erni Museum (2024–2026) brings together works and objects from the Philipp Keller shipping collection to examine the intertwined histories of the cocoa trade, artistic production, and colonialism. Through a rich selection of maritime artefacts, paintings, and documents, visitors are invited to reflect on the global networks of commerce and exploitation that shaped the modern world.
