Just Above Midtown: Changing Spaces is a 2022 exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art, New York, dedicated to the legacy of Just Above Midtown (JAM), the groundbreaking gallery founded by Linda Goode Bryant in 1974.
Located first on 57th Street and later in Tribeca, JAM became one of the most vital platforms for Black avant-garde artists during its twelve years of operation, presenting experimental and boundary-pushing work at a time when mainstream institutions largely excluded artists of color.
