Friends of East Asian Art: 100 Years of the Society for East Asian Art

In 1926, the Gesellschaft fur Ostasiatische Kunst (GOK) was established as the first museum friends' association of the East Asian Art Collection, itself founded in 1906. That collection was a forerunner of today's Museum fur Asiatische Kunst, part of the Staatliche Museen zu Berlin. This exhibition honours the centenary of the GOK and reflects on a century of civic engagement, patronage, and passion for East Asian art in Berlin.
