Fluxus and Beyond: Ursula Burghardt, Benjamin Patterson

12 Oct 2024 — 9 Feb 2025 at Museum Ludwig · Cologne
Museum Ludwig in Cologne presents a temporary exhibition dedicated to two key figures of the Fluxus movement: Ursula Burghardt and Benjamin Patterson. Bringing together works by these pioneering artists, the show examines their shared commitment to dismantling the boundaries between art and everyday life, performance and object, score and action.

Fluxus, the international avant-garde network that flourished from the early 1960s onward, challenged conventional notions of authorship, medium, and artistic value. Burghardt and Patterson were central contributors to this spirit of radical experimentation, and this exhibition offers a rare opportunity to consider their legacies side by side.
