On 26 April 1478, Lorenzo and Giuliano de' Medici were attacked in the choir of Florence's cathedral. Giuliano lost his life, while Lorenzo survived and subsequently punished the masterminds of this conspiracy, above all the Pazzi family. The exhibition explores this dramatic episode in Renaissance history through artworks, documents, and cultural artefacts that illuminate the political tensions, power struggles, and artistic responses of the period.
