The Baptismal Font of Siena. History, Restoration and Reinstallation of a Plaster Model

In the crypt of the Bode Museum, the space beneath the Small Dome that will form the transition to the Archaeological Promenade in coming years, the Sculpture Collection and Plaster Cast Workshop present a jointly created permanent display from autumn 2024. Drawing on select objects from their respective collections, this exhibition explores the history, restoration, and reinstallation of a plaster model of the Baptismal Font of Siena.
