Code Switch: Distributing Blackness, Reprogramming Internet Art is a 2025 exhibition at the Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit (MOCAD). The show examines how Black identity, culture, and aesthetics circulate across digital networks and reshape the language of internet art. Through a diverse range of works, the exhibition interrogates the systems — technological, social, and economic — that govern visibility and representation online, asking what it means to distribute Blackness in the age of the algorithm.
